About the Livestock
What breeds of sheep and cattle are raised at Triple Pine Farm?
At Triple Pine Farm, we raise St. Croix Hair Sheep and Angus Cattle.
- St. Croix sheep are known for their mild-flavored, tender meat and natural parasite resistance.
- Angus cattle are prized for their rich marbling and premium-quality beef.
Both breeds are well-suited to our pasture-based, sustainable farming practices, producing exceptional meat while supporting animal health and welfare.
Do you have a product sheet with pricing, description, etc?
For detailed information on livestock pricing, product descriptions, and availability, please contact us directly. We’re happy to provide you with a comprehensive product sheet tailored to your needs.
Are the sheep and lambs grass-fed, grain-fed, or both?
All of our St. Croix sheep and lambs are 100% grass-fed, resulting in lamb with a rich, natural flavor. Our Angus cattle are pasture-raised and grass-fed, then grain-finished using locally sourced grain to enhance marbling and deliver tender, juicy beef.
How are the animals treated and cared for at Triple Pine Farm?
At Triple Pine Farm, animal welfare is a top priority—our animals never have a bad day. They enjoy ample pasture space, fresh grass, clean water, and comfortable shelter from harsh weather.
We use high-intensity rotational grazing, moving our livestock to fresh pasture daily. This method reduces parasite exposure, encourages natural behaviors, and supports overall animal health and well-being.
Do you use antibiotics or hormones in raising your sheep and lambs?
No! At Triple Pine Farm, we do not use any growth hormones or antibiotics in raising our sheep and lambs. Thanks to our high-intensity rotational grazing practices, parasite control is natural, so we avoid using parasite medicines as well.
We’re committed to providing you with clean, healthy, and naturally raised meat free from unnecessary chemicals.
Do you offer any other livestock for breeding?
Yes! We currently offer a variety of breeding livestock, including registered and commercial St. Croix rams, ewe lambs, proven ewes, and wethers. Visit our livestock page for more details.
